# IMD — created by the swarm — step b

Five original art lines answering the five assigned questions. Each four-image line is one coordinated set; each uses four different catalog groups. There are 20 distinct product types overall, with one tee and one hoodie across the entire step.

All image links below resolve within `artifacts/b/`. Every image is **1254 × 1254 pixels, square, PNG, 8-bit RGB (image/png)**. These are generated merchandise concept mockups, not production print files or photographs of manufactured samples.

## Line 1 — Lunar Commons

**Question:** What would the swarm plant as a flag on the moon?

**Answer:** The swarm plants a flag carrying its shared square-and-diamond mark, raised by several workers together. A carved lunar landscape makes this a celebration of collective making rather than a claim of ownership.

**Style:** Bold linocut illustration, carved negative space, crater textures and strong silhouettes.

**Palette:** Carbon black `#151515`, electric citron `#DDEA3B`, chalk white `#F4F2E9`. Hex values express art direction; generated lighting and materials introduce tonal variation.

| Image | Product / catalog group | Placement | Print method |
|---|---|---|---|
| [11.png](11.png) | Heavyweight tee / WEAR | Bounded circular lunar scene on central front chest; plain surrounding fabric | DTG, full-color ink reproducing a two-color linocut look |
| [12.png](12.png) | Flag / HOME | Full flag face; lunar surface reaches lower hem, black field reaches all edges | AOP / sublimation on fabric |
| [13.png](13.png) | Dad cap / HEADWEAR | Small centered front emblem: single worker, flag and lunar arc | EMB; white and citron thread, bold flat stitches |
| [14.png](14.png) | Enamel mug / DRINKWARE | Outer-body lunar panorama; clear rim, base and handle margins | SUB |

## Line 2 — Sky Loom

**Question:** What does the harness in the sky look like from the ground?

**Answer:** From below, the harness is a vast suspended loom whose curved cables hold an opening in the sky. Tiny square-and-diamond riggers make its scale visible as they tend the net overhead.

**Style:** Architectural cyanotype, fine suspension-net drafting, upward perspective and soft cloud impressions.

**Palette:** Cobalt `#28578D`, mist white `#E8F1F3`, coral `#ED8253`.

| Image | Product / catalog group | Placement | Print method |
|---|---|---|---|
| [21.png](21.png) | AOP bomber jacket / WEAR | Net artwork over torso and sleeve panels to the seams; matching solid rib trim | AOP, sublimation and cut-and-sew |
| [22.png](22.png) | AOP backpack / BAGS | Front, pocket, top and visible side panels; black functional straps and zippers | AOP, sublimation and cut-and-sew |
| [23.png](23.png) | Sublimated socks / FEET | Sky net around shafts and insteps, large coral worker on each visible shaft, white heel and toe | SUB |
| [24.png](24.png) | Matte poster / WALL | Full poster face, with paper edges visible in the flat lay | PAPER, full-color digital print |

## Line 3 — Diamond Air

**Question:** If the swarm ran a 1970s airline, what would its luggage tags look like?

**Answer:** Its luggage tags would pair warm sweeping stripes with a welcoming square-and-diamond worker and a three-stripe wing. Rounded Diamond Air lettering gives the imaginary airline a confident 1970s identity without borrowing an existing airline's branding.

**Style:** Rounded geometric travel graphics, broad parallel stripes, flat color and friendly minimal mascots.

**Palette:** Burnt orange `#BD591F`, mustard `#C49325`, espresso `#4A2918`, warm cream `#F2E7CA`.

| Image | Product / catalog group | Placement | Print method |
|---|---|---|---|
| [31.png](31.png) | Luggage tag / BAGS | Acrylic front face; stripes, worker, wing, Diamond Air and IMD; strap left plain | UV |
| [32.png](32.png) | Pique polo / WEAR | Small left-chest worker and wing emblem with IMD | EMB; four flat thread colors, simplified bold shapes |
| [33.png](33.png) | Rocks glass / DRINKWARE | Bounded front graphic, leaving transparent margins at rim and base | UV |
| [34.png](34.png) | Button pins, three-piece set / SMALL | Circular front faces; worker, line-name and mark variants within one product set | PAPER, digital print under protective clear film on metal buttons |

## Line 4 — Unspoken Pearl

**Question:** What does an oracle's answer look like before it is spoken?

**Answer:** The answer gathers as a luminous pearl holding a square around a diamond before becoming language. Quiet swarm attendants cradle its rippling light, making uncertainty feel patient and shared.

**Style:** Painterly liquid-light surrealism, translucent pearlescence, soft pigment blooms and atmospheric gradients.

**Palette:** Deep plum `#49334F`, lilac `#B4A0C6`, sea-glass mint `#B6D5CB`, pearl cream `#FFF0D6`.

| Image | Product / catalog group | Placement | Print method |
|---|---|---|---|
| [41.png](41.png) | Pullover hoodie / WEAR | Bounded chest artwork above kangaroo pocket; soft edge and plain sleeves | DTG, full color |
| [42.png](42.png) | Phone case / DESK + TECH | Outer shell back and side edges, respecting camera cutout | SUB, full-color wrap |
| [43.png](43.png) | Canvas / WALL | Full canvas face and gallery-wrapped edges | Digital pigment / inkjet print on canvas (digital wall-art process; canvas substrate, not paper) |
| [44.png](44.png) | Throw pillow / HOME | Full visible face to edges and seams | AOP, full-color sublimation and cut-and-sew |

## Line 5 — Little Together

**Question:** What would a child draw after hearing about the swarm?

**Answer:** A child draws wobbly square-and-diamond friends holding hands beneath a sun and rainbow. Their mismatched sizes and cheerful flowers turn the swarm into a place where everybody belongs.

**Style:** Naive wax-crayon drawing and torn-paper collage, translated into chunky stitch-grid shapes for knit and simplified satin stitches for embroidery.

**Palette:** Tomato red `#CE4235`, sunny yellow `#E8B62B`, sky blue `#3E8DBB`, leaf green `#518851`, warm ivory `#F1E7CF`; the notebook also uses dark brown `#4D382A` for crayon limbs.

| Image | Product / catalog group | Placement | Print method |
|---|---|---|---|
| [51.png](51.png) | Knitted crew sweater / KNIT | Large chest scene and smaller sleeve motifs; ivory rib trim | KNIT, coarse jacquard-style stitch grid, five flat yarn colors |
| [52.png](52.png) | Bucket hat / HEADWEAR | Small front pair of workers with sun and flowers | EMB, four flat thread colors with substantial outlines |
| [53.png](53.png) | Spiral notebook / DESK + TECH | Full front cover; clear binding area | PAPER, full-color digital cover print |
| [54.png](54.png) | Pet bowl / OTHER | Exterior wall wrap; rim and interior remain unprinted | SUB |

## Catalog reference and production limits

Product types were checked against the [public Printful catalog](https://api.printful.com/products). Corresponding catalog entries are 508 (heavyweight tee), 490 (flag), 206 (dad cap), 407 (enamel mug), 390 (bomber), 279 (backpack), 882 (socks), 1 (matte poster), 938 (luggage tag), 670 (polo), 779 (rocks glass), 660 (pin buttons), 146 (hoodie), 683 (snap phone case), 3 (canvas), 83 (pillow), 769 (knitted crew sweater), 379 (bucket hat), 474 (spiral notebook), and 678 (pet bowl). These identify product families for the concepts; mockup garment colors, proportions and camera configurations are illustrative rather than exact variant selections.

The methods in the tables are the intended manufacturing treatments. Print-area templates, embroidery digitization, physical thread/yarn matching, exact variant availability, and physical sampling were not part of this mockup delivery. AOP artwork covers visible printable panels; concealed backs and interiors are not shown, so their coverage and seam alignment cannot be visually certified from these views. The canvas uses digital printing on canvas, which is not literally the PAPER substrate shorthand.

## Generation brief

Generated with the built-in image generation tool, one product image per call; the socks were regenerated after review to make the central diamonds clearer. The final prompt recipe combined the following common constraints, the line's visual brief, and its product/placement/method from the tables.

**Common prompt:** “Generate one square 1024px-or-larger premium realistic merchandise product mockup, flat laid or in use with no people. Workers are small beings built from a square outline enclosing a smaller centered diamond, with simple limbs. Show realistic materials and artwork on the product. No frogs, real people, existing brands, politics or price references. No lettering except IMD or the specified line name.”

**Line prompts:** Lunar Commons — black/citron linocut workers cooperatively planting an emblem flag on a cratered moon; Sky Loom — cobalt architectural cyanotype of a suspension canopy seen from below with coral worker riggers; Diamond Air — warm 1970s rounded geometric airline graphics with sweeping stripes and worker/wing icon; Unspoken Pearl — plum, lilac, mint and pearl liquid-light oracle orb with square-and-diamond attendants; Little Together — childlike crayon and paper-collage workers holding hands under a sun and rainbow.

**Method-specific prompts:** Keep DTG bounded with ample plain fabric; reduce embroidery to small flat motifs with bold stitches and at most four thread colors; spread AOP over printable panels to seams; render knit as a coarse five-color stitch grid; keep drinkware rims and food-contact interiors free of artwork.

## Checks and visual review

- Exactly 20 required PNGs: 11–14, 21–24, 31–34, 41–44 and 51–54.
- Every file: PNG signature, chunk CRCs, terminal IEND, decompressed pixel-stream length and scanline filter bytes checked successfully.
- Every file: 1254 × 1254, square, 8-bit RGB, no dependency or network access needed to view.
- All 20 images individually inspected for product visibility, motif, text, style consistency and print-method treatment.
- Four distinct catalog groups per line; no repeated product type; one tee and one hoodie total.
- No people appear; visible lettering is limited to IMD and Diamond Air.
- **Unmet visual requirements:** None identified in the final manual review. Geometric marks follow fabric perspective and, on the sweater, coarse stitch steps; tiny background workers are less detailed than foreground workers.
- These checks are local self-review, not independent visual certification. For production approval, review each linked full-size image alongside the selected product's print template and a physical sample.
