# Glamsterdam devnet — EIP list, spec versions, client images, hive results

Research date: 2026-10-27 (UTC). Public pages only; everything below carries its source.

**Fork name as spelled in the spec repositories:** execution layer = **`Amsterdam`** (`src/ethereum/forks/amsterdam`, https://github.com/ethereum/execution-specs/tree/master/src/ethereum/forks/amsterdam); consensus layer = **`Gloas`** (`specs/gloas`, https://github.com/ethereum/consensus-specs/tree/master/specs/gloas); the combined upgrade is **`Glamsterdam`** (EIP-7773 title "Hardfork Meta - Glamsterdam", https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7773; also the hive-tests workflow/config naming, see below).

## 1. EIP table (devnet-8 "Plataberget" scope = whole fork as tested, both layers)

Sources: meta EIP-7773 "Scheduled for Inclusion" (status `Review`, `EIPS/eip-7773.md` last commit 2026-10-22) plus its "Other EIPs" sections; devnet-8 notes "EIP List for Plataberget testnet" (26 rows, incl. `spec@<commit>` pins into ethereum/EIPs); each EIP's own front-matter `status:` and the last commit date of `EIPS/eip-N.md` on ethereum/EIPs `master` (GitHub commits API — the EIP site shows no updated date, so last-commit of the source file is reported). hive-tests column refers to the `--sim.limit` regex in `.github/workflows/hive-glamsterdam-quick.yaml` at pinned `master` commit **`13e902308ee426168240e24103162d63eaa873fa`** (commit date 2026-10-27T16:38:10+01:00; quote: `--sim.limit='.*(2780|7708|7732|7778|7843|7928|7954|7975|7976|7981|7997|8024|8037|8038|8045|8061|8070|8159|8246|8282).*'`, https://github.com/ethpandaops/hive-tests/blob/13e902308ee426168240e24103162d63eaa873fa/.github/workflows/hive-glamsterdam-quick.yaml). hive-tests contains no per-EIP spec/test files — the regex is the only per-EIP selection in the repo (verified by full-text search at that commit).

Spec-suite versions under test on devnet-8 (from the notes page): **EL fixtures `tests-glamsterdam-devnet@v8.1.4`** (ethereum/execution-specs — confirmed the newest `tests-glamsterdam-devnet@` tag via the releases API; notes also flag a still-needed follow-up release for the frozen repricing) and **CL `v1.7.0-alpha.14`** (ethereum/consensus-specs). ethpandaops/hive-tests itself has **no tags and no releases** (verified: `GET /repos/ethpandaops/hive-tests/tags` and `/releases` both return `[]`), so there is no hive-tests release tag containing the fork; its workflows resolve fixtures releases at run time via `.github/scripts/resolve_fixtures_release.py`.

Live-on-mainnet check: Pectra meta EIP-7600 (mainnet activated 2025-05-07, epoch 364032) schedules EIPs 2537, 2935, 6110, 7002, 7251, 7549, 7569, 7623, 7642, 7685, 7691, 7702, 7840; Fusaka meta EIP-7607 (mainnet activated 2025-12-03, epoch 411392) schedules 7594, 7642, 7823, 7825, 7883, 7892, 7910, 7917, 7918, 7934, 7935, 7939, 7951. **None of the 26 devnet-8 EIPs appear in either meta**, so none of their fork-gated logic is live on mainnet. (Glamsterdam itself is live on Sepolia 2026-10-06 and Hoodi 2026-10-26 per EIP-7773's activation table; the Mainnet row is blank.)

## 2. Devnet-8 client images/branches

The notes page's Kurtosis example names only four images (verbatim from the page):

- Geth — `ethpandaops/geth:glamsterdam-devnet-8`
- Ethrex — `ethpandaops/ethrex:glamsterdam-devnet-8`
- Nethermind — `ethpandaops/nethermind:glamsterdam-devnet-8`
- Lodestar — `ethpandaops/lodestar:glamsterdam-devnet-8`

The page names **no** devnet-8 image or branch for Besu, Erigon, Reth, Lighthouse, Prysm, Teku, Nimbus (EL or CL) or Grandine — stated as absent, not guessed. hive-tests `.github/configs/hive/glamsterdam.yaml` at `13e90230` supplies the EL images used for hive runs (devnet-generic, not devnet-8-tagged): besu `ethpandaops/besu:main-linux-amd64`, erigon `ethpandaops/erigon:main-linux-amd64`, ethrex `ethpandaops/ethrex:main-linux-amd64`, go-ethereum `ethpandaops/geth:master-linux-amd64`, nethermind `ethpandaops/nethermind:master-linux-amd64`, nimbus-el `ethpandaops/nimbus-eth1:master-linux-amd64`, reth `ethpandaops/reth:main-linux-amd64` (https://github.com/ethpandaops/hive-tests/blob/13e902308ee426168240e24103162d63eaa873fa/.github/configs/hive/glamsterdam.yaml). CL devnet-8 testing runs through kurtosis+assertoor (assertoor playbooks `gloas-dev/builder-lifecycle.yaml`, `builder-deposit.yaml` on ethpandaops/assertoor master per the notes), not hive.

## 3. Hive dashboard pass/fail (latest run per client×simulator; listing.jsonl at https://hive.ethpandaops.io)

## 4. Disagreements between meta EIP, EIP pages, and the spec/test repositories

1. **EIP-7610 tested on devnet-8 but not in the meta EIP.** Notes row: `|[EIP-7610](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7610) | Revert creation in case of non-empty storage` (https://notes.ethereum.org/@ethpandaops/glamsterdam-devnet-8). `EIPS/eip-7773.md` contains no `7610` anywhere — not in Scheduled, Networking or Informational (verified in raw source). It is also absent from the EIP-7600/7607 scheduled lists, i.e. not already live. The notes do not say why it is in the devnet list.
2. **EIP-2780 title.** EIP-7773/EIP page: "Resource-Based Intrinsic Transaction Gas" (https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-2780); devnet-8 notes row: "Reduce intrinsic transaction gas — transfer log cost folded into `TX_VALUE_COST`…". Cosmetic title divergence only.
3. **EIP-7997 title.** Meta/EIP page: "Deterministic Factory Contract"; devnet-8 notes: "Deterministic Factory Predeploy — spec unchanged; clients **must not** check contract existence at the fork boundary (no BAL read, no witness)".
4. **EIP-8282 link target.** EIP-7773 links the published EIP-8282 ("Builder Execution Requests", status Last Call); the notes title it "Add builder execution requests" and link the still-open PR `https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/pull/11760` — the EIP is merged enough to have a page yet the notes still route through the PR.
5. **Notes' release status vs actual tags.** Notes: "**Repricing numbers are frozen** (ACDT #90) and the EIP has merged; EELS still needs a follow-up release to carry them", while also marking `[x] target tests-glamsterdam-devnet@v8.1.4`. As of 2026-10-27 the newest `tests-glamsterdam-devnet@` tag is still `v8.1.4` — the promised follow-up release carrying EIP-8038's revised `COLD_STORAGE_ACCESS`/`ACCOUNT_WRITE` values does not exist yet (or v8.1.4 is it and the notes are stale). Could not be resolved from public pages.
6. **Meta EIP abstract vs body.** Abstract: "This Meta EIP lists the EIPs formally Proposed, Considered, Declined for & Scheduled for Inclusion in the Glamsterdam network upgrade." — but the document contains only "EIPs Scheduled for Inclusion" and "Other EIPs"; no Considered/Declined/Proposed sections exist (https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7773).
7. **Scheduled EIP still in Review.** Every scheduled EIP is Last Call except EIP-7688, whose page status is `Review` while listed as Scheduled in the Review-status meta (https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7688).
8. **hive-tests coverage vs devnet list.** The devnet-8 list has 26 EIPs; the `sim.limit` regex covers 20. Not covered by the glamsterdam-quick run: 7688 (scheduled, CL-only — hive-tests is EL-only per its README), 8136 and 8189 (notes mark them :new:/:sparkles: optional), informational 7904 and 8261, and 7610.
9. **Devnet numbering.** The devnet-8 notes say "devnet-9 (non-finality testing) follows within the month", but the ACDT #101 agenda (2026-10-19) lists "devnet-8 (benchmarking), devnet-12" (https://github.com/ethereum/pm/issues/2271) — intermediate devnets appear to have been cut without public spec-sheet updates.
10. **Page name vs URL.** The devnet-8 spec sheet titles itself "# Plataberget spec" (devnet name *Plataberget*; launched 13.08.2026, gloas fork at epoch 1536, 20.08.2026 20:08 UTC) while the URL and task call it glamsterdam-devnet-8.

## 5. ACDT (ethereum/pm) corroboration

From the 2026 ACDT issues list (43 issues, #78–#102): the notes' "ACDT #90" repricing freeze is ethereum/pm issue 2174; ACDT #100 (issue 2264) sets the Hoodi client-release deadline; ACDT #101 (issue 2271) confirms "Sepolia (forked Oct 6)", "Hoodi: fork Mon Oct 26, 17:42:48 UTC (epoch 132352), gas limit 200M at the fork" — matching EIP-7773's activation table — and references the EF Hoodi announcement blog post plus BPO forks "based on Amsterdam"; ACDT #102 (issue 2281) covers an EIP-8037/8038 issue and builder-onboarding changes post-Hoodi. hive-test env `HIVE_AMSTERDAM_TIMESTAMP=1777456800` (= 2026-04-29 10:00 UTC) is the simulated Amsterdam transition for hive runs.
