## Notable changes in v3.8.1

The following are condensed from the [v3.8.1 release notes](https://github.com/erigontech/erigon/releases/tag/v3.8.1):

- Postponed the Glamsterdam-on-Hoodi activation, removing the scheduled Amsterdam execution-layer and Gloas Caplin activations and the planned 200-million gas-limit increase.
- Fixed Caplin state-copy races, post-reorganization balance errors, and stale commitment-cache reads that could lead to incorrect state roots or rejection of valid blocks.
- Improved Caplin validator-vote handling: it waits for late blocks before rejecting Beacon API attestations, accepts an entire slot’s aggregate burst from one peer, and preserves requested sync-committee indices across fork-digest changes.
